Deacon Richard G. Walker, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on April 26, 2025. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Revelation Baptist Church, 819 Edgar D. Nixon Ave., Montgomery, AL with Pastor Roderick Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Faunsdale Community Cemetery, Faunsdale, AL with the staff of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon Walker will lie in repose one hour before the funeral service at the church. In celebration of a remarkable legacy and love for others, the Walker family asks, at Richard's request, that in lieu of flowers that donations are directed to a special fund to support the education of Broadcast Media students. Richard was not only a dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend, but also a dedicated educator who loved to see his students learn about media.
