04/04/1950 - 05/05/2025

With profound sorrow, we share the passing of our Beloved Samuel Wayne Mosley, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who departed this life on May 5, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 4, 1950, Samuel was a source of love, strength, and unwavering faith to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the Army, stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Following his return, he embraced leadership roles at Mount Vernon and Galey & Lord before dedicating himself to the children of Pennville Elementary and Leroy Massey as a janitor, affectionately known to them as “Uncle Wayne.” His dedication to service continued as a bus driver for the Chattooga County School District, a role he held dear until his retirement in 2016. Additionally, he nurtured his artistic talent through Rising Star, a family business where he crafted beautiful frames for works of art. Samuel was a deeply cherished member of his family. He was born to Hamp Sr. and Jessie Mosley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Evelyn Gill and Elaine Owens, and his brothers Benjamin Mosley and Herbert Mosley. Left to cherish and remember his special spirit are his siblings: Jessie Starr, Paulette Perry, Hamp (Shirley) Mosley, Iris (Bishop Alex) Allen, LaTrellial Mosley, Phyllis Price, Michael Mosley, Stanley Mosley, and Stacey (La’Dell) Kidd. His devotion to family lives on in his loving wife, Annie Mosley, and his children: his late daughter Preeya, survived by her husband John Fain Jr. and their two beautiful daughters, Desiree and Jania, and his son Alex, who, alongside his wife Erica, shares two wonderful children, Zander and Rachel. Samuel also dedicated himself to his faith as a loyal member of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. His passions extended to gardening, fishing, and hunting. Samuel, a patient and God-fearing soul, touched countless lives with his kindness and unwavering faith. His legacy of hard work, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A patient and God-fearing man, Samuel touched the lives of many with his kindness and unwavering faith. He taught us the importance of hard work, love, and devotion, leaving a legacy that will forever resonate in our hearts.
