Rosendo “Randy” Baca, Sr. went to be with our Lord on May 4, 2025 after a lengthy illness, with his wife, Rita, by his side. Randy was born February 2, 1944 in Artesia, NM. Randy enjoyed camping and ATV riding. He enjoyed playing weekly poker games with his buddies. He was a gifted handyman and enjoyed doing all kinds of handyman work after regular work hours. Enjoyment came from giving his friends and family a hard time in fun, along with advice about everything.

He was a founding member of the Volunteer Sierra County Rescue Squad & Ambulance Services. He specialized in working the Crash Unit and extrication when necessary. He was an EMT on the ambulance and served many years as the President of the organization. Randy retired in 1995, from the T. or C. Housing Authority, as a maintenance supervisor, after 25 years.

Randy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rita Baca; his former wife, friend, and mother of his children, Mary Baca; their children- Diana Baca, Loretta Baca, Randy Baca, Jr., and Christina Sedillo; sisters- Dorothy Pragg and Margie Green; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Jones and her 2 children- Kris and Sabrina Butner; as well as numerous friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Cuca and Moises Baca; daughter, Teresa Bierner; brothers- Albino, David and Jimmy; and sisters- Carmen, Luge and Vera.

Per his request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
