Shabazz Sangria Wingfield, age 32, of Athens Ga, was born on October 5th, 1992. He departed this life on Monday, May 5th, 2025.

Shabazz was raised in a loving home by his grandmother Betty Stinson , and grandfather Tommie Stinson. Shabazz attended public school in Athens, and was an active youth, playing football for both the Dolphins and Downtown Falcons. His adult life came with many challenges, and struggles, but he was still loved by his family and friends

He leaves to mourn his passing, mother Sandra Wingfield (Athens), grandfather Tommie Stinson (Athens), aunt Shawneece Stinson (Athens), uncle Julius Stinson (Athens) 2 children, Ke’Miah and Devin (Athens), uncle Darin Brown (Athens), 4 Great uncles: Vernon (Brenda) Wingfield (Maryland), James (Shirley) Wingfield (Alabama), Jerrold "Mike" Wingfield (Athens ), Fredrick “Donnie” (Donna) Wingfield (Michigan), 2 Great aunts, Linda Williams and Carolyn Thomas (both of Athens). And a host of loving cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at The Chapel of Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home. Viewing, Wednesday, 2-6 PM at Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home.
