From an early age, Sharif displayed natural athleticism, excelling in basketball, football, and baseball. His love for competition extended beyond the field, as he immersed himself in gaming long before it became mainstream. He proudly mastered Mike Tyson’s Knockout, conquered Bowser in Super Mario Bros., and never missed a day of playing with his Rock’em Sock’em Robots. A lover of nostalgia, Sharif cherished He-Man and Transformers action figures and cartoons.

Sharif found joy in family gatherings, often spending time at his grandmother’s house, playing with his cousins, especially Fatima, with whom he shared countless mischievous adventures. He deeply admired his Uncle D, looking up to him in his youth. Sharif graduated from T. A passionate supporter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers football and both Wake Forest Deacons and UNC Tar Heels basketball, Sharif never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams.

Sharif proudly dedicated five and a half years to serving in the Army National Guard as a Combat Wireman, achieving the rank of Specialist 4 (Spc 4). His commitment to service was a testament to his strength and dedication.

In the 1990s, Sharif met the love of his life Kim. Their friendship blossomed into a relationship in 2004, leading to their wedding on August 26, 2011. Together, they created a life filled with love and adventure, enjoying drives across the country, trips to the beach, and quiet evenings watching movies. They especially loved watching Family Business on BET. Sharif and his wife shared a generous spirit, always finding joy in helping others. They delighted in spoiling children, showering them with affection before sending them back home to their mothers with laughter and love.
