66, Robert Eric West of Portsmouth, VA was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the oldest of 7 children born to George and Lois West. Bob met and married Peggy West after they met in church. Shortly thereafter, their daughter, Laurie Kuhel was born. Later, they opened their home to many foster children and adopted 2 sisters, Jessie Davis and Mercy Goodwin and a host of grandchildren. Bob, as he was affectionately, called was active in his church. He was a member of Victory Gospel Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 12 noon in Victory Gospel Chapel, 715 Summers Place, Portsmouth, VA. Steele-Bullock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
