Mr. George Wingfield, Jr., 78, of Albany, Georgia departed this life on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his residence in Albany, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Riverside Cemetery, 200 Cotton Avenue, Albany, Georgia 31701.
Mr. George Wingfield was born on January 19, 1947. He was the first of twelve (12) children born to the late George and Adel Wingfield in Albany, GA. George and Annie Teemer Wingfield were united in sacred matrimony. One child, David Wingfield of Stone Mountain, Georgia, was born as a result of their union, and he also acquired six (6) stepchildren.
Education and Career: George Wingfield, Jr. received his education in the Dougherty County School System. He was a retired roofer.
Interests and Hobbies: George Wingfield, Jr. acknowledged his affection for Jesus. He was accompanied by his wife, who was a co-founder of Faith and Prayer Church in Albany, GA. He derived immeasurable enjoyment from viewing Western films, with a particular emphasis on Texas Rangers.
Serve: His parents, George, Sr. and Adell Wingfield, his wife, Apostle, Annie Teemer Wingfield and his sister, Betty Wingfield, his brothers, Jesse, Louis James, and JL, and his wife, preceded him in death.
Mourns: He is survived by his children, David Wingfield (son), Geraldine (Ravin) Carpenter, Calvin (Mary), Teemer, Jimmy (Marlana) Teemer, Nathaniel (Marie) Teemer, Dr. Gwendolyn Teemer Hope, and Willie Teemer; his sisters, Mary, Geraldine, and
Mildred (Jacksonville, FL); his brothers, Willie, Daniel, and Charlie; and his grandchildren.
Additionally, he was fortunate to have a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and acquaintances.
