Ms. Maxine Lavern Hopper, 71, passed away on May 7, 2025. Maxine is preceded in death by parents Gus and Pauline Degree; brother, Gus Leon Degree; two sisters, Belinda K. Spencer and Paulette Jackson.

Those who Maxine leaves to cherish her memories are; one son, Jawanza Bomani (Timothy Wesley Hopper); brother, Steven Degree (Maxine Degree), nephews, nieces and a host of other family members and friends. The family thanks you for your prayers.
