Barbara Ann Linwood-Age 73. May 5, 2025. Survived by family and friends. Sis. Barbara Ann Linwood was the oldest female of 16 children of her parents Robert and Elease Linwood. Born on New Year’s Eve 1951, Barbara has always had a caregiver spirit with the many lives she's touched. As a graduate of Manual High School in Peoria, Ill, Barbara captured the world by force as a fierceless, feisty fantastic, friendly soul that never encountered a stranger. She attended college a few years before allowing her heart to be swept away by her loving husband Eddie Howard Webster. After lovefelt nuptials to Eddie. Barbara was blessed with her only child, Akeesha Elease Webster and their family moved to Mt. Pleasant, TN.
Barbara was employed in several manufacturing and administrative positions throughout the years, however her most joyous position came after retirement as an American Greeting Cards Installer. She loved encountering fresh faces in random places as she re-stocked greetings cards in stores across the Middle Tennessee area.
Barbara's most previous love was that of Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church-Old Hickory Location under the pastorate of Bishop Joseph Walker III. There she would fellowship, volunteer, and worship with such gladness. Bible reading and recording were her favorite spare time moments. With her whole heart, she truly loved God and truly believed in His Holy Word.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Akeesha and grandson, Neal of Nashville, TN; Her brothers and sisters Gwendolyn, Elana, Chawana, Lera, Carla, Dewayne, Terry, Robert, Derrick, & David of Peoria, IL; Nieces, nephews, and cousins, extended family, dear devoted friends.
Barbara will be missed by so many, but she's right where she wanted to be... with the Lord God in Heaven. Memorial service, Saturday May 17, 2025, 10am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1112 Jefferson Street. Smith Funeral Directors Inc. (615)726-1476.
