Mr. Johnny Ivory Brooks, 86, of Cherryville, North Carolina transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina on November 19, 1938 to the late John Ivory Armour and Elease Brooks Hamilton.

Johnny graduated from John Chavis High School. He was a member of Walls Memorial Baptist Church.

Funeral Service will be Friday, May 23, 2025 at Walls Memorial Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. The body will be placed in the church at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Burial is to follow in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the funeral home from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
