He received his education in the Dillon County Public Schools of Dillon, South Carolina.
LeRoy accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and joined Hazy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. At Hazy Grove he was a faithful servant and served on the deacon board. As his health declined he still pressed his way until he was hospitalized.
LeRoy worked at Charles’ Craft and later moved his employment to Mohawk, Inc. for numerous years.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his mother-n-law: Esther McCallum; daughter: Anntoniett Williams McLeod; three brothers: Roosevelt Williams, Sylvester Williams and Johnny Williams.
Love ones who will cherish his precious memories ~ his wife for forty-nine years: Annie Ruth Williams of the home; two daughters: Louvesa (Jeff) Sowell of Hamer, SC, Regina Gause of Marion, SC; one son: Romond (Nicole) Williams of Conway, SC; nine grandchildren (three of whom he reared as his own) Monique (Iran) Miles of Dillon, SC, Justin Williams, Ikeia Williams both of Hamer, SC, Jamar, Kiara, Shenicka, Shimya, RJ, Drew; nine great grandchildren: Antanasia, Alexis, Dre, Ja’Niya, Franklin, Jamar Jr., Nicholas, Isaiah, Brycen; six brothers: Bishop Levester (Ella) Williams of Florence, SC, Julius Williams of Timmonsville, SC, Joe (Betty) Williams, Willie (Betty) Williams, Eugene (Gloria) Williams all of Dillon, SC, James (Florine) Williams of Latta, SC; four sisters: Beth Harley, Rosa Leslie both of Dillon, SC, Girlie (Roland) Reed of Baltimore, MD and Evelyn Brown of Florence, SC; one brother-n-law: Pastor Larry (Elizabeth) McCallum of Hamer, SC; two sisters-n-law: Helen McCallum and Betty (James) Roberts both of Hamer, SC; a special adopted daughter: Dorothy (Lee) McRae of Dillon, SC; best friend: Robert McDuffie and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom all were special to him.
