Obituary For Michael Rogers

Michael Angelo Rogers was born on September 21, 1957 in Mobile, AL., to the union of Lummie Rogers Jr and Florence Eaton Rogers. After a battle with cancer, Michael departed his earthly tabernacle on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the age of 61, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Michael Confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, under the Leadership of Reverend George Harris. He remained a longtime member of New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Clinton L. Johnson Sr. Where he was an active member and devoted Usher. At the time of his death, he was a member of Life Church, Pastor Scott Howard Michael graduated from John S. Shaw High School, class of 1976, where he formed many lifelong friendships. He attended Rutledge Business College, Richmond, VA. He was employed by Felders at Springhill Memorial Hospital, Environmental Supervisor. He was a Former Supervisor of Sears Parts and Service before their closing and Hertz. He was very active in his Community serving on the Alpine Hills Community Watch. Michael was preceded in death by his Father, Lummie Rogers Jr; Honorary Aunt and Uncle, Evelyn (John Sr.) Miller, aunt, Geraldine (Willard Sr.) Moody, great-uncle; Walter Benjamin, brothers; Reginald Rogers, Lummie RogersIII,step-mother; Maggie Rogers; mother-in-law Equillar Edwards; brothers-in-law; Ben McGhee, Roderick Johnson , Stanford Wallace Sr.; sisters-in-law, Bertha Harden, Brenda Kemp.
