It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Willie B. Horton.
Mrs. Willie Beatrice Horton departed this life for her eternal home with Christ on Monday, May 19, 2025. She leaves with love and faith in God, to cherish her daughter, Lena Gail Robinson; devoted nieces and nephews especially in her last months, Rose Carney (her son Andre' Thomas), Benjamin Charleston, Sandra Charleston (her son, Johnny and friend, Robert), Barbara McGill, Emma Carney, Pamela Washington (Sean), Bonita Colson (Alfred); special nieces like grandchildren, Dr. Terri Norton, Terita Norton (Their father Gerard); cousins, Althea Neal, Mary Ferrell (Ernest), Christal Powll (James) (their daughter, Erinn), Tameka Richardson; Nephews, Nelson McLeod; Monica Robinson (half-sister of daughter Lena) and host of other nieces residing in Tampa, relatives, loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Horton Dr., mother, Carrie Richardson; aunt, Rebecca Richardson; four siblings, Ida Charlton, James Hotron Jr., Fayte Horton and Ruby McLeod; nieces like daughters, Edner Norton and Carolyn James.
In the 60's and 70's she was known as the family's beautician. Every woman and girl in her immediate family would sit in her kitchen chair to ger their hair “done”. She loved her family greatly and ensured everyone was well fed. Her oldest sister, Ida would split up family meals during the holidays. Ida handled family Christmas dinner while Bea put togerther a delicious spread for the Fourth of July. Family members would come in from out of town just to enjoy, incuded her eldest brother, James “Bro” from Miami. Those were beautiful times that will be cherished.
She was a loving, praying, loyal, teaching women of faith of GOD and will be fondly rememvered as a Mother, Child, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Neighbor and friend.

Funeral service will be 12:00 (Noon) Friday, May 30, 2025 at Bethel A.M.E. Church with burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
