It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mother Necie Brim Hughes.

Mother Necie Brim Hughes passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Homegoing services will be at 11:00 a.m. EDT Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Testerina Primitive Baptist Church at 5520 Miccosukee Road in Tallahassee with burial at Clifford Hill Cemetery.

She was born in Tallahassee and was a member at Testerina P.B. Church where she served on the Mother Board.

She is survived by her sons, Robert S. Hughes (Seattle, Washington) and Morris L. Hughes (Albuquerque, New Mexico); her daughter and son-in-law Brenda L. Hughes and Shelton M. Goins; her loving sister Mildred Allen; her sisters-in-laws Minnie Brimm, Hazel Andrews (Clifton - Thomasville, Georgia), and Charlie Mae Hughes (Los Angeles, California); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
