Mr. Clifton “Ricky” Adams

Mr. Clifton “Ricky” Adams, who is now dancing on the streets of gold, was claimed as one of Heaven’s Special Angels on Saturday, August 4, 2018. He was baptized at Sunlight Baptist Church at an early age. He was compassionate, witty, and loved the Lord. He and his family never met a stranger. In addition, he donated his time to various churches to assist with their fundraisers. Clifton Adams was born on January 26, 1957 to the late Arthur Lee and Mary Otis Price Adams of Meridian. Clifton graduated from Meridian High School in 1975. He joined with the United States Armed Forces, where he served twelve years. During his tenure in the United States Armed Forces, he received a rank of Sergeant. Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee and Mary Adams, one brother Arthur Lee Adams, Jr. and one sister Bobbie Joyce Adams. Clifton leaves to cherish his memory: 1 daughter, Latoya Adams of Arizona; two granddaughters: Lanasia and Kayla; four siblings: Johnnie Pearl Johnson, Gloria Williams, Thomas “Mack” Adams and Gwen Harris; 1 sister-in-love: Jessica “Elaine” Adams; 1 uncle: Theodore (Betty) Price; 3 aunts: Hazel Louise Smith of Chicago, IL, Thelma Randalson and Etta Rhea (Tom) Lindsey of Cleveland, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation was held Friday, April 10, 2018 from 6 – 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Saturday, April 11, 2018 with Rev. Dan Lonnie, officiating. The body will be placed in the church for repose at 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Hickory, MS.
