Funeral service for Dandridge Torbert, 74, of Valley, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Andrew Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, 72 Battle Road, Hurtsboro, AL, 36860, Reverend Andrew Peoples will officiate.

Mr. Torbert, who passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at his home in Valley, Alabama, was born September 1, 1950, in Macon County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, May 23, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Sherry Torbert of Valley, AL; four children, Michael (Patricia) Felton of Tuskegee, AL, Keith (Annie) Torbert of Opelika, AL, Alexander Torbert of Valley, AL and Kendarious (Misty) Morris of Opelika, AL; two sisters, Susan (JT) Cason of Decatur, GA and Shirley (Michael) Hughley of Tuskegee, AL; two brothers, Clinton (Gloria) Torbert, Jr. of Opelika, AL and Michael Torbert of Tuskegee, AL; three aunts, Angeleen (Louis) Gray of Wichita, KS, Nona Sistrunk of Syracuse, NY and Bobbie Torbert of Richmond, VA; nineteen grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Felton of Auburn, AL; one sister-in-law, Marie Johnson of Midland, GA; three brothers-in-law, Steve (Tina) Johnson of Opelika, AL, William (Donna) Johnson of Valley, AL and Timmy (Sharon) Johnson of Greensboro, NC; a special friend, Reverend Andrew Peoples of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
