Janice L. Upton departed this life peacefully at home on Friday, May 16, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arnett and Elizabeth Revels Sr.; sisters, Doris Carson and Cheryl Wilson.
Janice leaves to cherish her memory beloved husband of 47 years, Jerry Upton; daughter, Stephanie Hill; son, Marvin Hill; bonus daughter, Kandee Mitchell; brother, Arnett (Jean) Revels; sisters, Imogene Woodfin, and Beverly (Jim) Warren.
Grandchildren; Tesmone, Misty, and Robert Paschal, Tamera, and Keiara Atkins, Caleb and Lydia Coffin, and Kaiya Hill; 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, May 24th from 12-1 pm at Overcoming Believers Church, 211 Harriet Tubman St., Knoxville, TN 37915 with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. where Pastor Daryl Arnold is Pastor and Apostle Jerry Upton will deliver the Eulogy.
The final resting place will be at the East TN Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier) on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Unity Mortuary.
