Lizzie Mae Giddens

Lizzie Mae Giddens was born on April 6, 1936, to James Giddens, Sr., and Katherine R. Williams in Bunnell, Florida. Lizzie would confess Christ at an early age. She became a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of her cousin, Rev. Dr. Frank Giddens, Sr. She was educated in the Flagler County School District and would later go on to work as a seamstress for over 30 years in Wilmington, Delaware. Lizzie later returned to Florida and would work at Emory-Riddle Aeronautical performing various task. During Lizzie’s Christian Journey, she later moved her membership to House of Joy under the leadership of Pastor Alice Emanuel. Lizzie enjoyed attending church functions and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Lizzie was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Michael Neal

She leaves to cherish her memories: brothers, James Giddens Jr. (Barbara), Ralph Giddens (Barbara J.), Jimmie Giddens, Sr. (Rose), Herbert Giddens, Sr. (Rose), Freddie Giddens, Sr., Johnny B. Giddens, sister, Sarah Giddens-Wilson, stepsister, Yvonne Allen, godbrother, Joe Freeman Jones, godsisters, Sandra Burson, additional relatives and special friends, Annette M. Henry, Elizabeth C. Robinson, Cynthia E. Smith, Mary Alice Robinson, Reverend Frank Giddens, Francina Marshall, Pastor Alice Emanuel, Janice Golden and the Golden family of Wilmington, Delaware, uncle John T. Robinson, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends and the community 5-6p.m., Friday, May 23, at St. Paul MB Church 108 Knox Jones Ave, Esponala. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, May 24, at St. Paul MB Church

Interment will be held in Masonic Cemetery
