Ms. Katie Mae Jolly passed away at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, May 16, 2025. Ms. Katie was born January 1, 1945 in Quitman, GA. She was the daughter of Realious and Lillie Bell James Sloan.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her children: Clara James, Mazettica Aviles (Arnaldo), Sylvia Gaines (Roosevelt), Mary Oliver, Lillie Bell Tamba, Wendy Jordan, Gloria Jolly Pitts (Rev. Bill Pitts), Cynthia Smith, Michael Jolly (Stephanie), Tony Jolly (Bonita) and Eric Jolly (Elronda). Grandchildren: ChreeWilliams, Marada Blakely, Chris Murphy, Jr., ChawneaqueaHolt, Carlas Murphy, Tyrone Oliver, Frederick Weston, Robert Hill, Jr., Samuel Oliver, Jesseca Hammond, Brittany Hall, Andrea Morris, Luke James and Journey Mahone. She also leaves behind 23 great grands and 3 great great grands, a special friend, Mrs. Alma Gibson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who will continue to celebrate her memory.

Homegoing services were Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10AM at North End Cemetery.
