The funeral services for the late Mrs. Leola “Dinah” Tolbert Jackson, who departed this life on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Olive Faith Center, 103 Dewey Street, Albany, Georgia. Reverend Grady O'Neal will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Zion Grove Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia. The season of life for Leola Tolbert Jackson began on October 12, 1929 in Ashburn, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of Tom and Lillian Woods Tolbert.

At an early age, Leola accepted Christ as her Savior and remained a prayerful servant.

Leola was united in marriage to John Jackson, Sr. Their union was blessed with nine children. Domestic at heart, Leola had a green thumb as her home was surrounded by beautiful flowers of love and a bounty of vegetables. She was meticulous in her home and a miracle worker in the kitchen. Family gatherings never left your tummy empty.

Embracing the sunset of her earthly journey, Leola quietly transitioned to her eternal resting place on May 28, 2025. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Annie Lou Tolbert-Pinckey and Inez Tolbert-Strawder; two brothers, Willie Lee Tolbert and Ronald Kennedy Tolbert.

Loving memories will continue to be cherished by her children, Viola Hanks (Larry), Barbara Williams, Mildred Jackson, Johnnie Mae Jackson, Doris Roddy-Lee (Charlie), Willie Jackson, Larry Jackson, John Jackson Jr., and Benjamin Jackson; a host grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
