Fannie Mae Washington was born on July 4, 1944, in Tampa, Florida to Booker T. Washington, Sr. and Doretha L. Washington.

She attended the Hillsborough County Public School System. Fannie was employed for Redlands Christian McGrant Programs. She was a lifelong resident of Wimauma, Florida. Fannie accepted Christ at an early age and united with First Prospect Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully until the decline of her health. Throughout the years, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and other family members whom she dearly loved, especially many times at special family gatherings.

Fannie Mae Washington departed this life on May 22, 2025, in Wimauma, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Booker T. Washington, Sr. and Doretha L. Washington, siblings, Booker T. Washington, Jr., Luther Washington, Rudolph Walker, Claretha Washington Reese, Justine Walker and Helen Washington Golfin.

She leaves to cherish her memories…

Daughter: Wanda Washington

Grandchildren: Mario Young, Durell Washington, Harvey Washington, Jr. (Lamica), Tevin Washington (Ariel), Lecreisha Glover and Janeka Washington

Sister-in-law: Margaret Washington

Great-grandchildren: Mikel Young, Jayden Washington, Jada Washington, Ja'niyah Washington, Jaylah Saunders, Jeremiah Washington, Jayda Washington, Harvey Washington, Amira Jeanty, Alaia Ford, Terrell Chambliss, Jamonte Chambliss and Harmony Washington

Best friends: Pevel “Pearl” Muldrow and Barbara West

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at First Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 6012 Edina Street, Wimauma, Florida 33598.

Visitation from 1:00 p.m. until start of service.
