Obituary For Mae Dorothy Tillman Brown

Mae Dorothy Tillman Brown was born on February 12, 1953 in Quitman, GA to Rebecca Tillman and the late Willie Dave Tillman. She was baptized at an early age at Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church located in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mae Dorothy attended St. Lucie County public schools and was a graduate of Fort Pierce Central High School apart of the class of 1972. She was very fashionable and as a teenager, had a hobby of sewing beautiful dresses and outfits for herself. She was friendly and kindhearted to everyone she met.

After graduating from high school, Mae Dorothy was employed as a food server for Fort Pierce Memorial Hospital and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. Mae Dorothy was known as a hard worker; she was employed by several companies in St. Lucie County. She was known for her excellent job performance. She was later employed with Briggs and Stratton Lawn Maintenance at the Treasure Coast International Airport and Business Park.

Mae Dorothy knew the Lord and on October 18, 2018, He called her home. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Dave Tillman and her brothers, David Wayne Tillman and Calvin Tillman.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Tommy Lee Brown, Jr. (Serena); grandchildren, Naomi Spence, Nyla Brown, and Tyler Brown all of Port St. Lucie, FL; mother, Rebecca Tillman; brother, William Darrel Tillman, Sr. (Veronica); sister, Bonnie Ruth Tillman, all of Fort Pierce, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation for Mae Brown will take place on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce between the hours of 3pm-7pm. A funeral service will convene on Saturday, October 27, 2018 beginning at 12:00pm at House of God #1 in Fort Pierce, FL. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
