Obituary For Walter G. McDaniel

Walter Gregory McDaniel, 55, of Crawford, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018. Walter was born in Athens, GA to the late James William McDaniel, Jr. and Betty Ann Jones. He resided in Oglethorpe County, GA. For most of his professional life, Walter was employed by Oglethorpe County Sheriff's Department as a jailer. In addition to working at the Sheriff's Department, he was recently employed at Mathews Used Cars in Crawford, GA as a shop foreman. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Walter is survived by his wife, Catherine McDaniel, his children: James Gregory McDaniel, Jason Lamar McDaniel, Jessica Leeann McDaniel, one grandson, Philliph Lamar McDaniel, and one sister, Lisa McElreath.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Stephens, GA 30667.
