Amos Estes Fitzgerald was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Amos and Lovely Marie (Fitzgerald) High.
He received his formal education in Philadelphia and was a 1982 graduate of William Penn High School. Amos joined the United States Marine Corps after high school, where he served as a communications specialist. He also met and married his wife of 41 years, Jacqueline Patrice Fitzgerald. After 4 years of service with the Marine Corps, he was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal.
At the age of 61 years, Amos transitioned into eternal life at his home in Harrisburg, PA on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Amos was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline and leaves behind his daughter, Patrice Fitzgerald; his sons, Amos Anthony and Adam Fitzgerald; his granddaughter and five grandsons, who all loved him very much. Amos loved God and his family, was a deeply devoted father and had an exceptionally big heart. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him and will always be loved.
His life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
