Jeannette Scott Sweat, 94, died Friday, June 6, 2025, at her residence, 1141 Ashton Trace Drive, Manning, SC. She was born June 20, 1930, in Clarendon County, South Carolina. A daughter of the late David and Renaa Evans Scott.

Public viewing will be held 2:00 PM til 6:00 PM Friday, June 13, 2025 at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, SC.

Celebratory services for Ms. Sweat will take place 11:00 AM Saturday, June 14, 2025 from the Elizabeth Baptist Church, 4829 Alex Harvin Hwy Manning, SC. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Ms. Sweat will lie in state one hour prior to the time of service.

The family is receiving friends at her residence beginning Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from the hours of 4:00 PM til 7:00 PM.
