Obituary For Deacon Charles E. Gray

Deacon Charles Enoch Gray was born March 29, 1939 to the late Clarence and Ellen Turnquest Gray in McKanns Long Island, Bahamas.

He received his high school diploma from McKanns Public School in Long Island, Bahamas in 1967.

In December of 1982, he was joined in holy matrimony to Ellen McIvery in Miami, FL.

He was employed by Varn Citrus in Fort Pierce, FL as a laborer.

His greatest passion was teaching Sunday School where he also served as Sunday School Superintendent. His greatest joy was sitting on his porch reading his newspaper, watching the Word Network, or listening to CNS-810 (Bahamas Radio Station) and waving to his neighbors as they passed by. He was a man of love and wisdom. He left you with a word and something to think about in your life and whether you are in alignment with the word of God.

His favorite passage of scripture was Psalms 8. His favorite hymn was ‘May the work I’ve done speak for me.’

On October 19, 2018, Deacon Gray departed this life on his way to his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ellen Gray, child, Rudy Gray, siblings, Garnet, Henry, Johnnie, Rolly and Donald Gray.
