Obituary For Juanita Cobb Carlyle

Mrs. Juanita “Nita” Cobbs Carlyle, daughter of the late Willie Lee Cobb and Pinkie Mae Cobb, was born January 26, 1950 in Oakfield, GA. She attended public school in Indian River County and was a graduate of the first integrated class of Vero Beach Senior High School in 1970.

Her lifelong trades were custodian and nursing assistant. She worked many years at the Florida Baptist Retirement Center and Indian River County School Board before her retirement.

She gave her life to the Lord and became a member of Salt of the Earth Ministries. Juanita was the matriarch of her family. She was a hardworking mother who went above and beyond to help others and especially her children. She was loved by many because of her giving spirit and sacrificial love.

Juanita parted from this life peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Winter Park Memorial Hospital.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Minyon (Richard) Outlaw of Winter Park, FL; LaRonda (Leonard) Rivers, Tiki Cobbs, Jasmine Cobb, Alancia Dorvelia, and Usnider Dorvelia all of Vero Beach, FL; and Michael Cobbs of Tallahassee, FL; siblings: James Cobb, Dorothy (Jerome) McKenzie of Vero Beach, Johnny Cobb of Eau Gallie, FL, Helen Roberts of Albany, GA, Trina (Jeff) Perkins of Douglasville, GA, Tony (Susan) Cobb of North Carolina, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren

Public visitation will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Vero Beach, FL between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at Gifford Cemetery.
