Obituary For Gregory Ellis Newsome

Mr. Gregory E. Newsome passed away Friday, November 2, 2018, in Denton, TX. Family and friends can visit throughout the day Friday, November 9, 2018, at Peoples Funeral Home & Chapel. A service is scheduled for Saturday, November 10, 2018,12:30 PM at Peoples Funeral Home & Chapel. His final resting place will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

On March 19, 1970, an energetic, radiant child was born to Charles and Lois Newsome. Gregory Ellis Newsome, better known as Greg, was born in Okinawa and lived his childhood years in Sacramento, California, and majority of his life in Texas. He attended Saint Paul Baptist Church and gave his life to the Lord at the age of ten. As a flight attendant for American Airlines, he was stationed in Chicago, Illinois. He loved his pets, his 80s music, and hanging out with friends and family.

On November 2, 2018, at the age of 48, Greg went home to continue his life with our Lord and Saviour. He is in heaven awaiting the arrival of his father Charles, mother Lois, brother Keith, his two sisters Leslie and Loraine, as well as his sister-in-law Kristen, brother-in-law Paul, his nephews Khristopher, Nicholi, Nathaniel, and Dexter, his nieces LaCameya, Khara, Kembria, Chriselle, Ricki, and his great-niece Legacy, as well as a wealth of family and friends.

We will miss his warmth, his laughter, his smile, and his friendship.
