Mrs. Annie Clyde Robertson Cox

Mrs. Annie Clyde Robertson Cox was born on August 17, l938, to the late Mrs. Ollie Gray Robertson and the late Mr. Lewis Robertson in Butler, Taylor County, Georgia. She received her early education in Taylor County.


In the early l950’s, she moved to Upson County. In the year of l986, she met and married Mr. Bobby Cox. They shared twenty-six years of marriage until his passing in 2012. She was employed for many years as a private duty housekeeper to Mrs. Sylvia Uphold.


Annie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed studying the word with other sisters and brothers.


During her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, the first one being special. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, cleaning, doing hair, planting flowers, and taking care of her home.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children, Sandra Walton and Richard Walton; and one sister, Mamie Traylor. On Monday morning, June 2, 2025, Jehovah called her name and she departed this life.


She is survived by six children, Edward Robertson of Reynolds, GA, Ms. Carolyn Walton (Billy, Sr.) Spencer, Mr. Jessie James (Martha Ann) Walton, Jr., Mr. Terrell Walton, Ms. Angela Walton and Mr. Timothy Bernard Walton all of Thomaston, GA; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mathlean Montgomery of Thomaston, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
