Ben Frank Legette, was born on September 25, 1951 to Edna Legette and the late William Gerald. He was reared by his grandparents the late Rose Crane and Daisy Legette. He resided in Dillon County, South Carolina for many years.

Ben worked at Carpostan Industries in Lake View, South Carolina for some years.

He had three aunts: Clara Johnson, Veola Alls, Rosa Legette; two brothers: Levern Legette and Joe Nathan Legette; one sister: Mary Barnes and two nieces: Naomi Legette and Sylvia Jackson all whom preceded him in death.

Scott, Donnie (General) Fletcher, Ann Carol Legette, Wilbert (Mamie) Legette, Ronnie (Sarah) Legette, Thurman Legette, Gloria Jean Legette all of Marion, SC, Juanita (Gene) Sanders, Joan (Larry) Gurley of Latta, SC, Bobby (Lois) Legette of Mullins, SC; nine grandchildren; four great grands; a special niece: Mecoe Legette of Dillon, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
