Obituary For Mr. Harold Marshall

Harold Marshall, was born on February 13, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia (Westside) to the late Lucile Jennings and reared by his late grandmother. He was called home on November 9, 2018 at 12:29 pm.

Harold began his education in the Atlanta Public School System and was a graduate of Washington High School.

Harold retired from Bobby and June Country Kitchen and was currently employed with Lovies Barbecue Restaurant. Cooking had always been his passion; he would always barbecue for family events and loved to make his infamous gravy. Although he was impressive in the kitchen, he loved his wife’s sweet potato pies. He made sure he was at all his wife doctors’ appointments; just one of the many ways of how his loving and caring spirit was displayed. He earned the name PaPa from all his grand and great grand kids.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Vickie Jackson; four daughters, Shandrill and Shunda Jackson, Harriet(Emmanuel) Jefferson and Patrice(Randy) Mckenzie; son, Shelton Jackson; brother, Leon Jennings; grandchildren & great grandchildren, Jerry Jr, Jameka, Joshua, Jordan, Alexia, Jaylan, Yasmine, Jeremiah, Keria, Mariah, Savonis, Kayla, Caleb, Destinee; Lovie Barbecue staff and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

My condolences to the Marshall family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a precious love one in death. Our loving Heavenly Father did not purpose his human family to grow old and die but purposed us to live and enjoy life. It is still his purpose (Psalms 37:29). He calls death an enemy that will be removed forever__1 Corinthians 15:26 “the last enemy, Death, is to be brought to nothing”; Isaiah 25:8. He promised to awaken our love ones in the memorial tombs from asleep in death__ Isaiah 26:19 “Your dead will rise ...Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Our old love ones will become young again__ Job 33:24 ,25 “Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor” and then God will “satisfy the desire of every living thing” (Psalms 145:16). What a delight it will be to see them again! Allow these words to keep comforting all of you.
