Obituary For Dorothy Sherfield

Funeral service for Dorothy F. Sherfield, 67, Tyler will be 1pm, Saturday at Dale Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Owens, officiating and Elder Ray Beasley, eulogist. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co. Ms. Sherfield transitioned November 3, 2018 in Tyler.

Dorothy was born April 2, 1951 in Henderson County and attended Prairie Creek and Redland Schools, graduating from Van High School. She was a resident of Smith County for 48 years, was a member of Upper Door Post Church of God in Christ, and was a Missionary. Dorothy was known for her beautiful floral arrangements and catering.

Preceding her in death were parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Left to cherish her memories include: one son, Carl Kharzan Jones, Tyler; two daughters, Nacole Jones and Cassandra Thirkill (Henry) both of Tyler; one brother, Louis Sherfield (Winnie), Tyler; three sisters, Flecie Rhone (Connally), Tyler, Essie Burkhalter (Willie), Los Angeles, CA, and Betty Cuba (Hardy), Ben Wheeler; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; family will accept friends 4:30-5:30pm Friday at John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.
