Carolyn Logan Brown was born December 24,1947 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Mr. Robert B. Logan and Isabella M. Butler-Harrell.
Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of the River Street Church of Christ.
Carolyn was educated in the Valdosta School System and graduated from Pinevale Class of 1965. Carolyn acquired an Associate's degree from Georgia Military College and a Bachelor's degree from Valdosta State University where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Carolyn departed this life on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Haven Hospice Care Center in Orange Park FL.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert B. Logan and Isabella M. Butler-Harell; her daughter, Pamela M. Brown; two great-grandsons, Austin Brown and Kyren Walker.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories to her spouse, Kenneth C. Brown; her children, Bryan M. Brown, Valencia Brown-Walker, Christopher Brown, Sharon Harris, Tamela Schleis (Jim), Derrick Mays (Marsha), Whitney Benberry (Kevin) and Alex Elliott (Valencia); her siblings, Artis Harrell, Lauretta Johnson (Charles) Ricky Harrell (Nora) and Leslie Straughter (Anthony); step-mother, Gladys Hayes; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces nephews and treasured friends.
The celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Southside Church of Christ, 1198 Old Statenville Road, Valdosta, GA 31601. Bro. Eric Dawkins, Sr., Minister, Bro. Eric Cureton, Officiating. Burial will follow at the Southview Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
