Brandon Matthew Johnson was born February 25, 1991. He was the beloved son of the late Earnest Johnson and Sylvia Johnson, who survives him. He was the third of four sons born to this union. Brandon passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.
Brandon matriculated through the Richmond County School System and was a 2008 graduate of Glenn Hills High School. He enrolled in studies at Augusta State
University in 2009. Brandon worked as an overnight stocker for Walmart; his most recent employment was at a recycling plant.
Brandon will be remembered for his love of family, kind heart, sense of humor, and passion for music. He had a talent for repairing most anything. He often watched YouTube tutorials and successfully made repairs each time. He was extremely dependable and always eager to help his older brother with such repairs
at his home. Brandon had several nicknames given to him by his parents that fit his personality, such as Smokey Carmichael and Bran-Bran. His friends and neighbors
affectionately called him “B” or “Bird.” He was always willing to help his neighbors and friends in need of assistance.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Sylvia Johnson, his brothers Earnest(Elizabeth) Johnson, Jr., Michael Johnson, Mark Johnson; nephew, Basir Johnson; nieces, Mayat Johnson and Abriana Johnson, a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, (Ernest and Fannie Walker Johnson) and maternal grandparents, (Moses and Margaree Moore).
Visitation and viewing will be Friday, June 13, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
Interment will be held at Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens, 3666 Deans Bridge Road.
