Funeral service for Brontavius Dowdell, 34, of Loachapoka, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, 7285 AL Highway 14 West, Auburn, AL, 36830, with interment in Pine Level Cemetery, 4650 Arrow Head Road, Loachapoka, AL, 36865, Reverend Jason Whetson will officiate.

Mr. Dowdell, who passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born March 26, 1991, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, June 13, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Brenda (Allan) Pace; father, Bruce (Brendnette) Dowdell, Jr; grandmothers, Maggie Hutchinson and Mary Dowdell; grandfather, Bruce Dowdell, Sr.; one sister, Britt-Nae Dowdell; five brothers, Cederick (Ashley) Mathews, Fred (Camill) Mathews, Travis (Betty) Mathews, Cederick (CJ) Mathews Jr. and Jamarcus “J” Oliver; one niece, Blessen Dowdell; five uncles, Wesley (Ann) Pitts, Lamar Hutchinson, Timothy (Kimberly) Pitts, Lopez (Candy) Dowdell, Anthony (Coffee) Milner and Tony Dumas; two aunts, Kesha Milner and Kim Dowdell; three special cousins, Andra (Timmesia) Thomas, Vontrez (Kyra) Hutchinson and Fredrica (Cameron) Hutchinson-Turner; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
