Charles Phillips

Charles Phillips, often known as “Hump” was born in Bunnell, Florida to Evelyn Cooper and Alfonsa Phillips on March 31, 1974. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back. In his earlier days, he spent his time playing basketball and hanging out with his friends, “Snap”, “AL”, “Dickie”, “PJ”, and “CJ” known as the Ponyboys. In his later day, he spent his time fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He would often gather neighborhood kids and take them to the movies. He was a great father, loved child, and a reliable friend.

Charles was preceded in eternal rest by his grandparents, Louise Cooper, Arthur Cooper, Sr., and Curtis Williams

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother Evelyn Cooper, his father, Alfonsa Phillips (Denise), his grandmother, Pauline Mitchell, his children, Charles Phillips, Terrance Leeks, Shanice Phillips, Channon Phillips, Chyna Phillips, Chameir Phillips, Nanelia Phillips, Queen’Asia Phillips, grandchildren, Braydan Patterson, Ivori Phillips, Charlae Phillips, Cortez Verdell, Alaska Phillips, Kannon Phillips, brothers, Alfonsa Phillips Jr., (Brenda) Donnie McCaskell, caring friend, Deloris Patterson, godfather, Charles McClendon, special friends, Alfred Shavers, Sr., Darren Steward, Travis Johnson, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025, with a public viewing beginning one hour prior to the service at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 75 Pine Lakes Parkway in Palm Coast, Rev. Edwin Coffie, M.Div., Pastor. Interment will be held in Masonic Cemetery
