Richard Felder Jr. was born on December 11, 1953, to the late Richard Felder Sr. and Martha Rembert. He left this world on Saturday, June 14, 2025, leaving behind fond memories for those who knew and loved him.
Richard was educated in the Philadelphia public schools and graduated from Southern High School.
He worked as a professional window washer and was often referred to as a jack-of-all-trades. Whether it was fixing things around the house or taking on various jobs, Richard could do it all!
Affectionately known as "Nicky" Richard had a larger-than-life personality that made everyone feel welcome. His hospitality was unmatched--he would cook for you, feed you, give you money, and even offer you the shirt off his backāall while telling you to leave his house if needed. His favorite expression was "Hun," and he wasn't afraid to tell you to "get to stepping" in a heartbeat.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Rembert and Richard Felder Sr.; his wife, Harriett Felder; a son, Hasan Felder; his sister, Rachel Felder; and his brother, David Felder.
He is survived by his cherished children: Barcar Felder, Tauheedah Felder and her husband, Patrick McClain, and Aminah Felder and her husband, Harry Wise; his sister, Lillie Bell Felder; his brothers, George Felder and Nathan Felder; eight grandchildren: Baceara Murrell, Barcar Murrell, Tionya Murrell, Dazhae Byrd, Andrew Byrd, Taleem Wise, Tahir Wise, and Patrick McClain Jr.; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly for his generosity, humor and love.
