Bruce “Cool” Conwell, was born on June 15, 1956, and was known by many simply as “Cool,” a name that reflected his calm nature, easy smile, and kind heart.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children whom he loved, His son, Terelton J. Conwell (Shameka), and his daughter, Briana A. Conwell, and his grandson Isaiah Conwell. He is also survived by two beloved sisters, Ruby L. Conwell and Alley M. Hornes, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who became family.
For many years, Bruce was a coach in his community—a role he embraced wholeheartedly. Calm, patient, and deeply caring, he became a favorite among many of the children he mentored. His positive influence extended far beyond the playing field. Bruce taught more than just the game; he taught life lessons in respect, perseverance, and love. His presence will be sorely missed not only by those he coached but by the entire community who admired and respected him.
Special recognition is given to his lifelong friends and brothers in spirit: Saul Johnson III, Thaddeus Johnson, Sr., and Lew Johnson, whose unwavering friendship brought him comfort and joy through the years.
