Homegoing Services for Mr. Guffen Renard Hearst, of Lithonia, GA., will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, 1:00 P.M. at Agape Wholistic Life Changing Ministries, 2200 Fairview Rd., Stockbridge, GA., with a dove release being held at Gresham Park immediately after the service.

Guffen Renard Hearst transitioned on June 12, 2025 after a valiant battle at Piedmont
Atlanta Hospital. Guffen was born August 4, 1966, at Grady Hospital in Atlanta to the
late Guffen and Gertha Hearst.

Guffen, also affectionately known as Renard, will be sorely missed by his loving wife
Tonya Hearst; and his children, Camille Aldridge, Lachelle (Jarfari) Harvell, and Taija
Aldridge. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his grandchildren, Brendon
Alrdige, Jaydon Alridge, Kimonte Alridge, Sameeyah Burton, Cherish McCoy, Jewel
Harvell, Jayson Harvell, Jayla Harvell, Zuri Alridge, Zara Alridge, Nyjah Hearst, Josiah
Hearst, Jasher Hearst, Nyjome Hearst, and Nastassia Hearst. His love and memory
lives on with his niece, Ariel (Sean) McIntyre, and his great niece and nephews, Elle,
Elijah, and Ellison. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Zina B. Spears Hearst,
his son, Guffen Renard Hearst Jr., and his grandson, Sampson Hearst.
Renard was born and raised in Atlanta and attended Walker High School. He began his
career as a salesman. He later obtained employment at National Data Center, where he
eventually met his love, Tonya. She locked her keys in her car, he rescued her and their
love story began. Renard and Tonya were united in holy matrimony on June 20, 1992.
They later began to attend New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, where he gave his life
to Christ in 2008.

Guffen Renard took an active role in his community by volunteering as a little league
football coach at Midway park, and later ending his coaching career at Gresham park.
His impact on generations of players and families will never be forgotten. He was known
as a firm but fair coach; he expected your best and gave his best in return.
Renard had many professions throughout his life. He found his true career at ABF
Freight as a forklift driver where he quickly became one of the most trusted and
respected members of the team. Renard held the position of foreman for his union, the
Teamsters.

Renard lived a life marked with quiet strength, a sharp sense of humor, and deep love
for his family and community. He was known not only for his leadership, dependability,
and tireless work ethic, but he also knew how to have a good time with family and
friends. He believed in doing things the right way, with love and care. Rest In Peace our dear Guffen Renard Hearst.
