MRS. TEALIA ISABELL HAYES, affectionately called “T” of Clarksville, VA, formerly of Union Level, VA entered eternal rest at the blessed age of 92 on Friday, June 13, 2025, at home. She was born July 8, 1932, in Union Level, VA to the late James and Rosabell Arnold Stone. She was preceded in death by her husband- Samuel Hayes, Sr.; son- Samuel Hayes, Jr.; three brothers, four sisters, and two sons-in-law.

At an early age she was baptized and joined North View Baptist Church, South Hill, VA. She attended Mecklenburg County Public School.

She attended Lake Country Area Agency on Aging on Wednesdays; also she was a member of the AARP Chapter 741, and an Honorary member of Confident Women’s Ministry of Red Oak, VA.

Tealia passion included going to church, cooking, watching cars go by, looking at TV. She also adored doing domestic work and being a homemaker.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory are three daughters- Martha Barbosa of Bronx, NY; Carolyn H. Tucker of Chase City, VA and Annie H. (Lawrence) Kersey of the home; daughter-in-law, Sandra T. Hayes; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her care givers- Deloris Florence, Georgia Walton, Margaret Pendleton, and “NeNe” and a vast number of loving cousins, other relatives and friends.
