Mrs. Lavern Roberson Jones, born on August 27, 1947, to the late Eunice Roberson, peacefully passed away, surrounded by family, at her residence on June 15, 2025.

Public viewing will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA.

Celebration of Life Services will take place at 12 Noon, June 21, 2025, at Blount Chapel Baptist Church 684 Blount Chapel Road, Louisville, GA at noon.

Mrs. Lavern dedicated her professional career as a Machine Operator for the Lint Rollers at One Core, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment. In addition to her professional endeavors, she was an active and beloved member of the Blount Chapel Baptist Church, contributing her time and energy to various church activities and fostering a sense of community among her fellow congregants.

Beyond her work and community involvement, Mrs. Lavern found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for gardening, often spending her days tending to her beautiful flowers and meticulously caring for her lawn with both her push and riding John Deere mower. Her green thumb was a testament to her nurturing spirit and love for nature.

Mrs. Lavern took great delight in spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating countless cherished memories that will live on in their hearts. She had a special fondness for root beer and was known for her culinary skills, particularly her daily preparation of delicious chicken meals. Her dedication to family and her ability to dress to impress were hallmarks of her vibrant personality.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jerry Jones Sr., who will be remembered alongside her in the hearts of those who loved them.

Mrs. Lavern is survived by her cherished daughter: Valerie (Terries, Sr.) Peeples of Waynesboro, GA; her loving sons: Jerry Jones Jr. (Toymeka) of Chicago, IL, and Ronald Jones of Augusta, GA; and her devoted sister: Glorestine (Loreston) Davis, Ellenwood, GA; two caring brothers: Rickey Sheely and Michael Sheely, both of Louisville, GA; She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jackie Sheely, Louisville, GA, Ruben Jones, Seaborn (Ida) Jones of Vidette, GA, Louise Brown of Augusta, GA, and Bertha Roberson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren:, Tyesha Beasley (Kristopher) of Grovetown, Terries Peeples Jr. of Wrens, GA, and Ryan Jones of Chicago, IL. And her great grandchildren: Tailynn Perrin, Talayah Peeples. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
