Dakota Hallmark, 32, of Gadsden, AL, passed away on Sunday, June 22,2025.

Dakota Seth Hallmark was born on August 11,1993 to Tina Hallmark (Terence Taylor) & Todd (Angel) Hallmark in Gadsden, AL.

He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Shady Grove Baptist Church, Attalla, AL.

He was a graduate of Hokes Bluff High School, and he attended Stillman College.

Dakota loved life. He graduated as a three sport (football, basketball, and baseball) athlete and he was all county for all three sports.

He was nicknamed “Friendly Fred” because he never met a stranger. He was also known as “Kota Seth” and was affectionately called this by all family members.

Dakota was a very active leader in many communities. He was very passionate and loving when it came to coaching and mentoring children. Not only was he teaching them, but they really were also teaching him.

He was a dedicated father to his daughter & son, also a dedicated family member and friend. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. Family and loyalty were everything to him. To say that Dakota will be missed is an understatement he will be remembered through his laugh, smile and his never-ending love.

He was preceded in death by: his grandfathers, Parrick Horton & Benny Ray Hallmark; grandmother, Janice Hallmark and brother, Kenny Mostella.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories to: his spouse, Heather Heath; mother, Tina (Terence Taylor); father, Todd (Angel) Hallmark; daughter, Parker Jo (Baby Girl) Medders (mother, Carole Ann Humphries); son, Dekker Matthew J. Hallmark; grandparents, Lawrence & Becky Vaught, Reverend Jerry & Sharon Mims; sisters, Destiny (Tootie) Hallmark (Jacob Camacho), Amber (Justice) Jones, Jade (Charles) Mikell, Daisha Galvan , Lacey (Kyler) Robertson, Hali Giles, and Bailie (Jaython) Novak; brothers, Dalton (Taylor) Hallmark, Tequila Samuelson, Dustin (Bubba) Hallmark, and Davian (Taylor) Clark; aunts, Sallie Gargone (Deginald Spears) and Cassidy Smith; uncles, Patrick Horton, Chadwick Horton and Matthew (Jackie) Gargone; nieces, Desmond Hallmark, Karolyn Hallmark, Dekaelen Gargone, A’Korianna Jones, Tallulah Mikell and Delilah Mikell; nephews, Dayton Porter, DeKarter Gargone, Elijah Camacho, Zhander Ross, Lucian Clark and Leonidas Clark; special friends, Joel Mostella, Aaron Conklin, Bruce Woods and Jacob Neely and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will be from 12noon-6pm on Friday, June 27, 2025 at West Gadsden Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11am on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Abundant Life Church. Pastor: Bishop Terry A. Jones. Eulogist: Reverend Jerry Mims. Interment: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Attalla, AL.
