Bernard Shaw Smith, 67, of Denton, TX, formerly of Gadsden, AL, died on November 30, 2018. A visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, and the funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm at Peoples Funeral Home & Chapel. Bernard leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife, Christine Williams-Smith of Topeka, KS; daughter, Benadette Smith of Lacrosse, WI; brother, John Henry Smith (Gwendolyn) of Jackson, TN; sisters, Lela Smith-Felix of Chicago, IL; Patricia Smith-McGee (Denison) of Gadsden, AL; Jacqueline Smith-Manley of Bloomington, IL; Linda Smith-Thomas of Denton, TX; Brenda Smith-Fields (William) of Anniston, AL; sister-in-law, Nancy Carlisle-Smith of Detroit, MI; aunt, Reona Smith of Orrville, AL; one grandchild, nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by parents John Henry, Missie Lee Smith, and brother George Mitchell Smith.
