Brother Eluid “Tensley” W. Coley was born on April 23, 1940, to Albert and Mary Coley in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Bro. Coley gained his wings on June 20, 2025.
Bro. Coley was blessed to work for the Department of Military for 32 years. He was a faithful member of Greater St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church for many years until his health failed. He was a loyal and dedicated member of the Christian Men’s Ministry, Inc., and one of its original founders.
In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by his Siblings: three Brothers and 5 Sisters. He leaves to cherish his beloved memory-his Companion, Sis. Bernice L. Harper, a God Daughter, Family and many sorrowing Friends.
Brother Coley’s favorite scripture is Psalm 23. He has left his reflection of it for us: My life was covered with God’s abundant blessings. His goodness and love followed me all the days of my life. I did not have to fear any evil, for He was with me. God’s peace restored the broken and hurting parts of my soul which included: my mind, will and emotions. His presence, protection, guidance, mercy and love reminded me that He is all I needed. Bernice, Family and Friends, “Wait on the Lord and be of good cheer.” Know that God is always near and He has already mapped the path that leads to Him.
