Obituary For Ruby Lee Martin

Mrs. Ruby Lee Yarbough Martin, 82, of 2042 Center St., Spartanburg, SC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. A native of Fairfield County. Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Willie Mack Yarbough, Sr. and Lowreen Glenn Yarbough. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Martin, Jr.

Ruby was a member of Monks Grove Baptist Church.

She worked at Spartan Mills for more than thirty years.

She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Lawrence Yarbough, Willie Yarbough, Tommy Lee Yarbough, David Yarbough, Freddie Yarbough, Mary Carter and Helen Gladney; and a sister-in-law, Maggie McGee.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her daughters, Rosa (Rev. Charles) Irby of Spartanburg, SC, Alinda (Joseph) Anderson of Lyman, SC, Annie (Terry) Dawkins and Helen Bell both of Boiling Springs, SC, Sharon (Rev. Timothy) Mills and Tamika Byrd both of Spartanburg, SC; her sons, Lawrence A. Martin of Long Beach, CA, John (Tasha) Martin, Dennis (Debra) Martin and Donald (Kathy) Martin all of Spartanburg, SC and Timothy (Vanessa) Martin of Boiling Springs, SC; her very special friend, Fred Andrew; her adopted children, Theodore (Kimberly) Martin of Pauline, SC, Todd (Phyllis) Duck of Boiling Springs, SC and Emma Coleman of Spartanburg, SC; her sisters, Julia Jackson and Gloria (Cornell) Robinson both of Jenkinsville, SC; her brothers, James Yarbough, Robert Yarbough and Lewis Yarbough all of Jenknsville, SC; her thirty-eight grandchildren; her sixty-five great grandchildren; her eighteen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

A Celebration of the Life Ruby Lee Yarbough Martin will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Monks Grove Baptist Church, 718 Monks Grove Church Rd., Spartanburg, SC. Rev. Walter Davis, IV will be officiating. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC.
