Ms. Margaret Ann Caldwell, 76, passed on Friday, June 27, 2025 in Phenix City, AL.

Graveside service to be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Saturday July 5, 2025 at St. Peter A.M.E. Church, Seale, AL with Rev. Thomas Fortson, pastor, officiating.

Born on June 10, 1949 in Hatchecubbee, AL. Margaret grew up with a natural kindness and boundless energy that would define her life. She was the daughter of the late Mrs.Louise Miles and Willie Miles who instilled in her the values of compassion, hard work, and resilience. From a young age, Margaret demonstrated her extraordinary ability to connect with others, offering support, understanding, and a warm smile wherever she went.

Margaret “Baby Ann” Caldwell departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Margaret was perhaps best known for her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren called her “Nana” whom were her pride and joy whether she was attending events, or cheering from the sidelines at events. Margaret made it her mission to be an active and loving presence in their lives. She passed down family traditions, shared countless stories, and created memories that will be cherished for generations.

In addition to her family, Margaret had many passions that brought joy to her life and to those around her. A natural caregiver, Margaret attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. Margaret worked at University of Chicago Hospital, Columbus Regional Hospital, Clinic Worker (Fox Elementary), and a Nanny at the Kennedy Residence. Margaret was known for always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Her selflessness and generosity inspired all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by Willie Miles, Louise Miles, Henry Miles, and Robert Miles with whom she is now reunited in eternal peace.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, Tamara Stark of Columbus, Georgia and Trista Caldwell Kennedy (Wendell) of Phenix City, Alabama: her grandchildren, Tierra Stark (special daughter), Sha’yaa Stark, Cyd’nee Stark, Talia Stark, and Chloe Kennedy; great grandchildren, Caecee Stark, TreMaine Stark, Amari Stark, and Atari Stark; sister, Daisy Goode, Aunt: Venice Jackson, Special friends: John Reese. and Ella Mae Smith, Eddie Mae Sutherland, Debbie D. Evans, Arlene Sumbry,Cousin/ ride buddy. Ann also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, wisdom, and infectious laughter.
