Kerry C. Kerns, son of the late Clarence Kerns and Catherine Martz Kerns, was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

He received his formal education in the Steelton-Highspire School District graduating in 1964.

Kerry joined the United States Navy and served his country faithfully from 1966-1972 serving on the USS Little Rock and bases in Rhode Island and Norfolk.

After returning home, he continued his education pursuits, graduating from the Pennsylvania State University “Penn State”.

During his working career, he was employed at the Bethlehem Steel Company for many years while provided Income Tax Service to the Steelton and Bressler communities.

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Kerry transitioned into eternal rest at his home after a lengthy illness.

He leaves to cherish his legacy and many special memories of him, his wife, Barbara Marisic Kerns; his two sons, Robert G. Smith and Jonathan Smith; four grandchildren; two brothers, Keith (Maria) and Kirk (Cheryl) Kerns.
