Deborah "Peewee" Ann Burris Parker

Born October 22,1958 to the late William June Harris and Rose Lee Burris of Blacksburg, SC Deborah “PeeWee” Burris Parker gained her wings on Sunday, June 25, 2025 at her residence in Blacksburg South Carolina.
Deborah “Peewee” as she was affectionately called, devoted her life to care-giving and service at a very young age. She was instrumental in raising many of her cousins and friends' children . She was a blessing, and a gift from above. She loved her family and she loved the Lord. Deborah was a dedicated member of Youngs Grove Baptist Church in Blacksburg, South Carolina. She was a member of the Mixed and Mass Choirs, Welcome Committee, and the Outreach Care Committee. She also served on the kitchen and custodial departments as well as the Pastor's Aid Member. Peewee volunteered at the Senior Center in Blacksburg, Miracle Hills Ministry in Gaffney, SC and the Cleveland County Women's Shelter. of Shelby, NC. Peewee also made beautiful quilts by hand, which she donated to the Hospice and White Oak Nursing Home of Spartanburg, SC. Though her voice may be still her love and charity will be forever in our hearts.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Kelly T. Burris of Gastonia, NC; great aunt, Josephine Setzer of Gastonia, NC; siblings Christopher Thompson of Gastonia, NC, Corey Harris (Samantha) and Sharon Harris of Anaheim, CA; grandsons, Dequeliveis Deeshone Burris, JaQuawn Ross, and Malik Burris all of Gastonia, NC; great granddaughters, Evie Mae Rylelle Burris, Ny’lia Ross and Raine Ross all of Gastonia, NC; special sister-friends, Mary Joe Tate and Kenya HIcks of Blacksburg, SC; a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughters, Sharon Burris and Theresa Barnett Perkins.

PUBLIC VIEWING: At the funeral home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M.

PLACE OF FUNERAL: Youngs Grove Baptist Church, 222 Youngs Grove Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702

DATE & TIME: Thursday, July 3, 2025 @ 2:30 P.M.

VISITATION/LIE IN STATE: At the church on Thursday thirty minutes prior to service from 2:00 until 2:30 P.M.

INTERMENT: Church Cemetery
