Obituary For Deacon Kenneth Alvin Dozier

Kenneth Alvin Dozier was born October 28, 1924 in West Palm Beach, FL to Water and Helen Dozier. He was married to Margaret Cain for 75 years and was the proud father of five children: Earl, Kenneth Jr., Rolfe, Alvin and Helen Alveta. He had one brother who all preceded him in death.

He served in the United States Army from 1944-1946 and worked for the New York Transit Authority as a supervisor until he retired. He returned to Florida in 1977 and worked for the St. Lucie County School Board as a bus driver.

He was a deacon on the Finance Board at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved to fish with his wife in the beautiful Florida waterways.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 75 years, Margaret Cain Dozier; two sisters, Leo Burdine Collier of New York and Edythe Newberry of West Palm Beach, FL. Three grandsons, Stanley Cline, Kyron Dozier, and Maleek Rodriguez; goddaughter, Lorraine Williams; care giver, Dr. Wanda Collins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.

Public visitation for Deacon Dozier will take place on SATURDAY, December 15, 2018 between the hours of 4:00pm and 6:00pm at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL. A funeral service will convene on SUNDAY, December 16, 2018 at 2:00pm at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL.
