Helen Fisher Dunson,100, of New Bern was called to rest on July 7, 2025.

Her service is 11:30 AM, Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Greenwood Cemetery followed by the interment.

She was the daughter of Jerry Heidelberg Fisher and Mary Jane Smith Fisher. She was self employed as a cosmetologist for many years and was part owner of the Frog Pond with her husband George H. Dunson.

She survived by her stepson, Henry Lovett (Evelyn); grandson, Nicholas Lovett (Tracey); great grandchildren, Nova and Lennox ;niece, Connie Fisher Mallory (Vincent); nephew, Jerri Fisher; great-niece, Morgan Simone Mallory-Sumler (Marcus);nephew of the heart, Jelani Fletcher Allen; close friend Carol B. Becton; faithful caregiver, Vanessa Koonce; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
